PDF Suite : Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 1st June 2024

PDF Suite: All in one Reader & Scanner ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users ("you" or "your"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding this information when you use our PDF creator and scanner application ("App").

Information We Collect

We collect minimal information necessary for the App to function. Here's what we collect:

  • Device Information: We collect basic device information such as your device model and operating system version to ensure the App functions properly on your device.
  • Scanned Documents: The content you scan using the camera remains entirely on your device and is not transmitted to our servers in any way.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely for the following purposes:

  • To operate the App: Device information is used to ensure the App runs smoothly on your device.
  • To improve the App: We may use anonymized data to analyze usage patterns and improve the App's functionality in future updates. However, this data will never be linked back to you or your scanned documents.

Data Storage and Security

  • Local Storage: All scanned documents and data are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers. We do not access or store your scanned documents.
  • Security: We implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage method is 100% secure.

Your Choices

  • Storage Permission: You can manage storage permissions for the App through your device settings. The App requires storage permission to save scanned documents on your device. Denying this permission will prevent the App from functioning as intended.
  • Camera Permission: You can manage camera permissions for the App through your device settings. The App requires camera permission to scan physical documents. Denying this permission will prevent the App from scanning documents.

Children's Privacy

Our App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has downloaded our App, please contact us. If we discover we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on [link to where the policy is posted within the App or website].
